Send a scoreboard from the app
Press Ctrl+Shift+S (or the key you chose) on a post-match scoreboard: Spawnfront Companion reads it on your PC, and you choose to add the match to your card, send it as a scrim result, or discard it.
For players · 4 steps
What you need first
- Spawnfront Companion is installed and linked on your Windows PC — see Install the companion app.
- You play Marvel Rivals, Overwatch, League of Legends, Valorant, Counter-Strike 2, Deadlock or Rocket League. Marvel Rivals is read in the game's English: in another language your numbers still read, but the map and mode may stay empty. Rocket League's scoreboard, or a match picked in its MATCH HISTORY, goes to your own card only (its scrims are entered by hand), with the game in English. An Overwatch game report is read whatever language the game is in, but its Summary page's result, map and length only with the game in English. On Rocket League's Player Profile, scrolled to the DUEL, DOUBLES and STANDARD ranks, the card's button reads Check my rank and sets your ranks instead of adding a match — see Add your game identity. A Counter-Strike 2 board is read with the game in English, the only language confirmed on real screenshots so far, and also in the game's other languages: Bulgarian, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese (Portugal and Brazil), Romanian, Russian, Spanish (Spain and Latin America), Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian and Vietnamese; Bulgarian, Chinese, Greek, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Thai and Ukrainian are tried only when Windows is set to that language.
- League of Legends is read with the game in English or in Czech, French, German, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Romanian, Spanish, Turkish or Vietnamese — or in Greek, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Thai or Chinese when Windows is set to that language too. Only English has been checked on real screenshots so far: if a screenshot in another language isn't read, switch League to English and take it again.
- Deadlock can be in English, French, German, Spanish (Spain or Latin America), Italian, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Czech, Turkish, Indonesian, Russian, Ukrainian, Simplified Chinese, Korean, Japanese or Thai, but only English is confirmed on real screenshots so far, so a board in another language may not be read yet. In Russian, Ukrainian, Chinese, Korean, Japanese or Thai it is read only when Windows is set to that language too. Souls are read only where the game writes them with a k, as it does in English, French, Italian, Indonesian, Chinese, Japanese and Thai; in the other languages the souls are left blank.
- To put a match on your card, you have that game on your profile under Games — or the card sets it up for you (see below).
- To send a scrim result, you are on a team of that game — free or with a site — as an owner or admin, or as a member your team lets send results (it does unless its owners and admins turned it off), and the scrim is waiting for a result. It counts toward your team's screenshot readings for the day: 5 on a free team, 20 on a team with a site.
- Play in borderless or windowed mode if the capture comes out black: some games' full-screen mode can't be captured.
Steps
Step 1: Open the post-match scoreboard
When the match ends, open the game's scoreboard: the screen with every player's kills, deaths and assists. In Valorant, press SCOREBOARD in the list at the left of the match screen — at the end of the match, or later from Career. Valorant can be in English, French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish (Spain or Latin America), Turkish or Vietnamese — or in Japanese, Korean, Russian, Thai or Traditional Chinese when Windows is set to that language too. Only English has been checked on real screenshots so far: if a screenshot in another language isn't read, switch the game to English and take it again.
You should see: the scoreboard on your screen.
Step 2: Press Ctrl+Shift+S
Press Ctrl+Shift+S while the scoreboard shows — or the key you chose under Settings › Scoreboard key in the app.
You should see: Spawnfront Companion come forward with a picture of your screen and "Reading the scoreboard on this PC…", then "Spawnfront read a … scoreboard." Nothing has been sent yet.
Step 3: Choose what to do with it
Press Add to my card to put the match on your own card, or choose the scrim under Scrim and press Send as a scrim result. Press Discard to delete the picture instead.
You should see: "Sending to Spawnfront…".
Step 4: Pick your line
For your card, choose your own line under Which line is yours?, choose the match type — Ranked, Scrim or Other, only the ones the screen leaves you (a ranked queue on the screen is Ranked with nothing to choose) — and press Add to my card.
You should see: Sent and "Added to your card." For a scrim: "Draft saved — check it and send it to … on Spawnfront."
How to know it worked
- Your card shows the match under From screenshots, labeled self-reported.
- For a scrim, the draft waits under Results on your team's Scrimmages page for you to check and send to the other team.
Something doesn't look right?
Nothing happens when I press Ctrl+Shift+S
Spawnfront Companion must be running (it lives in the tray) and linked. Another program may own the key: open Settings in the app — the Scoreboard key row says when another app uses it — and choose another key (see below), or close that program and restart the app. If you chose your own key, press that one instead.
Ctrl+Shift+S does something in my game
Some games use Ctrl+Shift+S themselves. In the app, open Settings, press Change on the Scoreboard key row, then press the key you want: Ctrl or Alt with a letter or number, or a function key such as F9. Press Use Ctrl+Shift+S to go back to the default.
The app says "No game Spawnfront can read is running"
Press the key while Marvel Rivals, Overwatch, League of Legends, Valorant, Counter-Strike 2, Deadlock or Rocket League is running.
The card says "Add your Valorant account …" or "Add your Overwatch account …"
The card reads "Add your … account to put matches on your card." when your profile has no account for that game yet, and sets it up for you. For Valorant, press Type your Riot ID, type your Riot ID — it is at the top right of Valorant's menu, like Name#TAG — choose your Region and press Save. If your Discord is linked, Import from Discord opens Spawnfront in your browser to choose the Riot ID Discord knows. For Overwatch, press Connect Battle.net, Import from Discord or Type your BattleTag. The card updates by itself, and Add to my card appears.
The card says "Add your Marvel Rivals account to put matches on your card"
Your Spawnfront account has no Marvel Rivals profile yet. On the post-match screen or a match's page from your history, the card reads your name (your line in yellow or orange) and your UID (bottom left, after "UID:") and shows "This screen names you …". Check that the name and the UID are yours, then press Use this account: your Marvel Rivals account is set up and confirmed, and Add to my card appears. If the card names nobody (the UID did not read clearly), press Add it on Spawnfront: Spawnfront opens on Profile › Games › Marvel Rivals in your browser, where you add your in-game name and UID; the card updates by itself.
The card says "Add your Counter-Strike 2 account to put matches on your card"
Your Spawnfront account has no Counter-Strike 2 profile yet. Press Connect Steam: your browser opens Spawnfront. Type Your name in Counter-Strike 2 — your Steam name, at the top right of the Steam window — and press Continue to Steam, then sign in to Steam. Your account is set up and confirmed, and the card shows Add to my card by itself. You can also press Import from Discord (shown only when your Discord is linked) or Type your Counter-Strike 2 name on the card; a typed name isn't confirmed until you connect Steam.
"This Marvel Rivals account is already confirmed on a different Spawnfront account"
Another Spawnfront account confirmed that UID first. If it is yours, contact support and we will release it.
The card says "Add your League of Legends account to put matches on your card"
You haven't added League of Legends under Games yet. Keep the League client open and signed in: Spawnfront Companion reads your Riot account from it, and the card reads "Spawnfront reads your Riot account from the League client while it's open." It turns into Add to my card by itself — you don't need to press the key again.
If it says Recording is paused, turn recording back on in Spawnfront Companion and the card carries on.
If it never changes, press Import from Discord (shown when your Discord is linked) and choose your Riot ID on Spawnfront in your browser, or press Type your Riot ID, type it as Name#TAG, choose your Server and press Save.
The card asks me to add my Rocket League account
Your profile has no Rocket League account yet, so the card sets one up. In Spawnfront Companion, press Settings and turn on Record Rocket League, then restart Rocket League: the first match the app records adds your account by itself. Then press Ctrl+Shift+S on that match's scoreboard. Or press Import from Discord (shown when your Discord is linked and has your Epic Games account connected), or Type your Rocket League name: the name Rocket League shows for you on the scoreboard — your Epic display name, or your Steam name on Steam.
This PC couldn't read it
The picture is still sent when you choose, and Spawnfront reads it on the server. Check the lines it read before you confirm.
