Terms of service
These terms are the agreement between you and Spawnfront, the service that gives an esports team a website and the admin section to run it.
1. Who may use the service
Spawnfront is for people aged 13 and older. Signing up asks for a date of birth before anything else; if it says you are under 13, no account is created and nothing you typed is stored.
If we find that an account belongs to a child under 13, we close it and delete their personal information. If you believe a child under 13 holds an account here, write to support@spawnfront.com and we will act on it.
Where you live, you may need a parent's permission to agree to these terms. If you do, get it before you sign up.
2. Your account
An account is yours alone. Keep your password to yourself, use one you do not use elsewhere, and tell us if you think someone else has it.
You are responsible for what happens under your account. We may sign you out everywhere, or suspend an account, if it is being used to attack the service or other people.
Your email address is verified before the account is activated, and it is how we reach you about your teams and your subscription.
3. Teams and what they publish
An account is free and a team is free. Anyone with a complete profile can found one team at no cost, invite members and keep a roster.
Everything on a team's site — its name, pages, news, roster, images and links — is written by that team. The team is responsible for it, including for having the right to use the names and images it puts there.
We may take a site offline, or remove content from it, when it breaks these terms, infringes someone's rights or is unlawful. We write to the team at the address it signed up with, and it can reply to support@spawnfront.com.
4. Subscriptions and the shop
A site is the paid product: a team subscribes when it wants a public site at its own address. The subscription is billed by Polar, our merchant of record, on its own hosted checkout page.
A team's merch shop runs on Fourthwall. Buyers check out on Fourthwall's own pages, and Fourthwall handles payment, shipping and refunds for those orders.
Card details never reach Spawnfront. We see that a payment happened and what it was for, never the card.
A subscription renews until it is cancelled. When it lapses the team's site goes offline and the team stays, with its members and roster, as a free team.
5. Ending it
You can delete your account yourself from your profile at any time. We close it and delete your personal information; teams you own are dealt with first, and the page tells you what will happen to each of them before you confirm.
A team owner can delete a free team at once from its settings. That removes the team, its members, roster, positions and applications together, and cannot be undone.
A free team whose admins have not visited it for six months is removed. We email the owner a month before that happens, and any admin visit in that month keeps the team.
We may end an account or a team that breaks these terms. If we do, we say why.
6. The service itself
Spawnfront is provided as it is. We work to keep it up and to keep your data safe, but we do not promise the service is never interrupted, and we are not responsible for what a team publishes or for what a third party — Polar, Fourthwall, a game statistics source — does on its own pages.
7. Changes to these terms
We update this page when the service changes. The date at the top says which version is in force; when a change matters to you, we email the address on your account before it takes effect.
8. Contact
Write to support@spawnfront.com about anything on this page, including a child's account.
